  • Compression is a technique that you can use to have files use less space than they normally would.
  • PDF is a format defined in the early 1990's by Adobe that has since become a standard for document exchange
  • Digital Signatures are a means for guaranteeing the authenticity of files and digital documents and are based on X.509 PKI Digital Certificates.

PentaZip-PRO, without needing any additional software, can:

  • Read 17 different compression formats (ZIP, ZIP64, ZGB, ZipX, BZip2, ARC, ARJ, LZH/LHa, CAB, GZip, RAR, TAR, ZOO, Ace, JAR, DCL Zip and BH)
  • Read 4 different email formats (UUencode, MIME-64, XXencode and BinHex) 
  • Write 12 different compression formats (ZIP, ZIP64, ZGB, ZipX, BZip2, LZH, CAB, GZip, Tar-GZip, JAR, BH and TAR).
  • Copy newly Compressed Archives to CD's and DVD's. CD/DVD Burning is available for all Windows Systems.

  • PDF File Creation - You can create PDF files using PentaZip-PRO from virtually any printable format using the print command. Among other formats PentaZip-PRO supports: 
    1. Microsoft Word Doc and RTF
    2. Excel
    3. Power Point
    4. Internet Browser pages (HTML, HTTPS, ASP etc.)
    5. WordPerfect
    6. Digital Photography files
    7. Graphics Files

  • PDF Editor - Any exising PDF file (whether created with another program or using PentaPDF) can be :

    7. Digitally signed and encrypted existing PDF documents.

  • CD/DVD Burning - Copy Files to a CD or to a DVD
     
  • Command Line Interface - create DOS batch files to perform repetitive tasks. This is the basic version of PentaCLI which is made up of 3 programs that:
    • Create Compressed Archives
    • Extract files from Compressed Archives
    • Create Self Extracting Files (called "SFX").
  • Email files as attachments directly from inside most programs
  • PentaWare Manager - Access all PentaZip-PRO programs from a simple to use familiar Outlook like interface

Compression can be performed using the PentaZip Main Interface as well as using right mouse commands. Most PentaZip commands are also available through right mouse commands.
