Announces the Release of PentaSuite
7.5
Version 7.5 offers a totally
rebuilt FTP client that manages Remote Compressed
Archives plus a truckload of new features in PentaView
as well as in other programs.
First, PentaFTP users now have
the unique opportunity of managing remote
compressed archives. This will allow them to:
- Get a file list on their
screen of a remote compressed archive;
- Print the file list of a
remote compressed archive on their local printer;
- Save the file list of a
remote archive as a local file (supported formats
are TXT, CSV and XLM);
- Open a remote compressed
archive allowing selection of one or more files
for:
- Extraction -
download a single file to a local folder of your
choice;
- Viewing - you
may use PentaView (or the Viewer of your choice)
- Launching the
file using its Associated Program on your local
computer.
As always security is a one
of PentaWare's main concerns. PentaFTP includes a
test to make sure that a file cannot replace a folder
and that a folder cannot replace a file. SSL (Secure
Socket Layer) FTP connections are also available.
Users that have a license for PentaSuite Version
7.0 or 7.1 can upgrade to Version 7.5 free of charge.
