All PentaSuite products and PentaZip
products offer PDF file creation. There are some differences
between the different methods offered by the different
products:
PentaSuite-PRO, PentaSuite
Business-PRO, PentaZip-PRO and PentaCLI-PRO offer
PDF creation for ANY printable file. This includes
use of the Print command from the File pull down menu
or from the Command Line in the case of PentaCLI-PRO.
PentaSuite-PRO Server Edition and
PentaCLI-PRO Server Edition also
offer PDF creation support for practically any printable
format.
PentaSuite DigiPhoto and PentaZip
offer PDF creation for ANY supported format (i.e.
Microsoft Word, Excel, WordPerfect, Power Point, Text
files and Graphics formats) but does not have the
ability to use the File Print command or encrypt or Digitally Sign PDF files.
None of PentaWare
PDF Creation solutions require any additional software
(such as Adobe Acrobat) to create PDF files
Adobe Acrobat (at least Acrobat Reader)
should be installed in order to view PDF files. Acrobat
7 Reader functions are supported.

Brief History of the PDF format
Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format developed
by Adobe Systems as a means of representing documents that
are independent of the original application software, hardware,
and operating system used to create those documents.
A PDF file can present documents that contain any combination
of text, graphics, and images in a device and resolution independent
format. These documents can be more than one page, and as
complex as you want. You can use as many fonts, graphics,
colors and images as you like.
