PentaSFX - Self Extracting Archives
A Self Extracting Archive (a.k.a. SFX File) is a Compressed
Archive that can unzip itself without the use of a compression
program.
To do this, PentaSFX converts a Compressed Archive into an
executable file (with an .EXE extension).
Running an SFX file will automatically unzip the files inside:
To the folder the SFX file is in,
To a user selected folder or
To a specific folder designated when the SFX file was
created.
Advanced features included only in the PentaSuite programs
include:
The ability to create CD's or DVD's containing a newly
created SFX file (CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R and
DVD+RW formats are supported) .
The ability to span large archives (ZIP and ZGB only for
now) on CD's

available through our SFX (Self Extracting) files.
